The Mission Endowment Fund will extend Spirit of Joy’s mission work and ministries beyond the annual operational budget of the congregation into perpetuity.
The Fund is established to receive designated and undesignated gifts of any kind.
A committee of three voting members, elected by the congregation, shall oversee and administer the fund.
SUBSIDIARY FUNDS
General Fund: Support our overall mission work and ministries, wherever needed most.
Capital Fund: Assist with financing capital improvements to buildings, grounds, gardens or other long term improvements.
Mission Outreach Fund: Assist with special mission endeavors of the congregation, in the community, and throughout the state, nation, and world.
Faith Formation Fund: Initiate/expand education-related programs such as Preschool, scholarships, new programs, etc.

How is the Mission Endowment Fund different from designated funds? Designated funds directly support daily operations. Mission Endowment is above and beyond our normal budgeting.
Can I give a gift and name a new fund?
Yes! Gifts of $25,000 or more may be designated separately from existing accounts. Contact the mission endowment team for more information.
What are the most common sources of gifts?
Transfer of property (cash, CDs, stocks, bonds, real estate), RMDs, assignment of life insurance, legacy or planned gifts.
