Passionate Worship
What does Passionate Worship mean to Spirit of Joy?
Worship is our central way of responding to who God is, and what God has done for us. We celebrate through the Word and Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.
Spirit of Joy strives to offer PASSIONATE (with our whole life) WORSHIP that is vital, inspirational, and related to our daily lives. This includes maintaining a fairly stable order of worship (Gathering, Word, Meal, and Sending) featuring a variety of music styles and creative arts.
We have also chosen to offer a vital worship experience to the whole community on any given Sunday – in person or online – and always includes an open invitation to the Lord’s Supper. That way all worshippers may participate in a shared experience.

“Only in the act of praise and worship can a person learn to believe in the goodness and greatness of God.” C.S. Lewis
Passionate worship allows us the space and time in which we offer ourselves to a loving and gracious God who is able to do for us far more than we can ask or imagine. Worship also joins us together with others in bonds of friendship and community, absorbed in the goodness and greatness of God and sent out to serve in love and grace.
