Small Groups at Spirit of Joy are gathered around caring conversation, shared interest and mission, Bible study, prayer, and devotion. God has called us together as Christians in our lives on earth. There’s a small group for you!

Starting in February, we will be hosting a monthly conversation in a “public house” about the relationship between our Christian faith and an important issue of the day. This is a way for us to do public theology outside our walls, and to invite neighbors who may be interested in the discussion, but are not comfortable with a typical church setting. First up: Red and Yellow, Black and White: Are All Precious? Let’s Talk about Race and Faith
Gather 3-4 times a year to prepare meals that can be frozen and then shared with partners or friends/neighbors in times of need.
Meets monthly to encourage the love of reading and learning by use of the library.
We go to the garden as often as we can. One of our groups helps with our community gardens. Another cares for our prayer gardens. Our focus is to beautify God’s creation. We raise butterflies & give garden tours.
This group will be meeting as needs arise for supper and caring conversation. An occasional 4-6 week series on grief care may be offered throughout the year.
Group that meets for fellowship and woodworking activities. Famous for their beautiful Faith Chests given to each newly baptized partner of Spirit of Joy.
Caring mail/package ministry to young adults away at school or in the military or engaged in volunteer work. Meet four times during the academic year.
Meet to sew special quilts for Spirit of Joy graduates and for area missions.
Currently exploring The Greatest Story – Paul. This group meets at 7 pm on Thursdays and 9 am on Fridays. Topics throughout the year will vary. You are always welcome to jump in mid-study.
Meets every Thursday at 6:30 a.m.at The Fryin’ Pan for breakfast and Bible Study. We discuss, learn, and share experiences in the growth of our Christian Faith.
Join the biggest “small group” at Spirit of Joy. There’s always room for more. Groups meet monthly. NEW – We now have a second group that meets in the morning.
Friends and partners of Spirit of Joy gather roughly every two months to explore various topics of interest to women. All are welcome to enjoy treats, conversation, and an inspiring presentation.
