Story of the Week -Meet the new Spirit of Joy Preschool Director, Amy Cauble!

Amy Cauble has been a teacher and director of Christian Education programs for over nineteen years. She studied and completed a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Psychology  from the University of Sioux Falls. Amy worked as a preschool teacher in Minneapolis prior to moving to Sioux Falls with her husband in 1993.  After taking time to be a stay-at-home mom, Amy returned to work as  the Director of Children’s  Ministry at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. In this position she was able to help children and families from birth to middle school explore and nurture their faith. She then returned to teaching preschool children at Compassion Child Care, working there almost four years. Throughout this time, Amy has written educational curriculum for children of all ages. Her most recent project was writing the Spark Family magazine for Sparkhouse Publishing.

Amy and Bill married in Minneapolis, MN in 1992; they have two children, Brita and Murphy. Brita is a sophomore at Augustana University. Murphy is a junior at Roosevelt High School.  Amy enjoys spending time with her family, reading books, and walking their two dogs, Winston and Wrigley.
