Spirit of Joy Story of the Week – March 23, 2016

Last Sunday I watched as a sweet little one year old girl toddle up to the children’s offering “bucket” for the very first time and carefully let her dollar bill drop inside. She peeked in to make sure it made it to the bottom.  Standing watch over her was her five year old brother.  He made sure she knew where to go, what to do, and how to find her parents again.

Thank you, parents, for modeling faithful giving to your children.  And thank you to big brothers and sisters for also being faith-formers for your younger siblings!

Our children’s offerings are divided equally between the general fund of Spirit of Joy, and benevolent offerings such as supporting students in India and Guatemala.

We love to watch these little ones come forward to bring their offerings.  We give thanks for their parents who are fulfilling their baptismal promises by bringing them to worship.
